Special rules in Budapest and its agglomeration

On trains, yellow buses, suburban trains: valid in Budapest and Pest county: Hungary pass, Hungary24, Pest county pass, Pest County24, Budapest pass valid only for travel within Budapest. On InterCity trains or on trains with a seat reservation within Budapest, all the above types are valid in 2nd class without a seat reservation, but outside Budapest only with the Hungary Pass and the Hungary24 with seat reservation. On metro, trams and trolleybuses, all monthly season tickets are valid, but not the Hungary24 and County24 day tickets. On blue buses, all the season tickets and day tickets listed above are valid, but on buses operated by Budapest-BKK, the Hungary24 and County24 day tickets are not valid. None of the passes or day tickets are valid on the 100E airport shuttle, the Chairlift, the Funicular in Buda and the Children's Railway.
